Our Story

Hey friends!

My name is Samantha, and I am the creator and owner of Manthy's. Growing up, my dad called me Manthy (from Sa-"MANTH"-a). Him and my grandpa call me this to this day, so it's very special to me to name my business Manthy's!

I have ALWAYS loved animals, especially dogs. I was the crafty child of the family, always drawing, making shoes for myself out of paper (I was like 5 lol), painting clay pots, making macrame jewelry (including necklaces for the family dogs), and basically anything related to creating something. I came up with funky nicknames for our family dog Abby, and took charge of trimming her nails and fur once my parents decided I was responsible enough not to hurt her. We have had dogs in our family since before I was born, and they have become such a huge part of who I am today.

I received my Bachelors in Business Management in 2014 from the University of South Florida, and in 2017, I quit a managerial job to start a full time Etsy shop for wedding and home decor items, and never looked back. In 2019, I hopped on the super fun trend of pet social media and created a TikTok account for my boxer Layla, making silly videos and enveloping myself even deeper into the dog lover community.  I absolutely loved that I could work alongside Layla all day. I found myself wanting to do more dog related things, from researching nutrition and wellness to training Layla to making fun bandanas and accessories for her.

Thus, in May of 2019, Manthy's was born. I have built it up alongside my full time Etsy shop, and have now begun to make the full transition to Manthy's. Our fur family has grown larger as my fiancé and I moved in together in Rose Hill Kansas, giving Layla a sister her exact age! Luna is an Australian Shepherd/Red Heeler mix, and a HUGE love bug. We take our pups everywhere, from hiking by the lake to road trips to Florida, and couldn't have asked for a happier life together.
